If you ask us what an Edgar Allan Poe-themed scent might smell like, we'd definitely say death, despair, and deep red wine. So we're pretty impressed that this Library Fragrance Diffuser ($29) goes there - to alcohol, at least. (Not to rotting corpses.) The author's, shall we say, contentious relationship with alcohol is referenced with notes of absinthe, while the atmosphere of his dark, romantic Gothic fiction is represented by hints of cardamom and sandalwood.
