Doubtblush: Landscape Curtains
You may have noticed that we're hardly perpetual rays of sunshine around here, but even so, we seem to spend a lot of our time enthusing about one gewgaw or another. Doubtblush exists to make it clear that we do not, in fact, like everything.
Now, we understand that pretty landscapes are soothing, and we totally understand that architects don't always put windows in front of things that are actually pleasant to look at. (Good morning, parking structure!) But still. The masters of trompe l'oeil would pull their nasty Renaissance hair out over these Landscape Curtains. Curtains with goofy scenery painted on them aren't going to trick anyone into thinking that your fire exit actually leads to Kyoto, Cape Cod, or Cancun; they're just going to make people think of Oldboy. If you need to bring a new landscape into your home and you don't have a single good photograph to put in a frame somewhere, then get yourself a virus-laden screensaver or a free calendar from your bank. Or move.
