*Drumroll*... We've got a fresh face joining the guest blogger army! Please welcome Ashley White from Decorology to the fashion forward fleet. Web designer by day and interior decorator / design enthusiast by night, Ashley's got it all figured out from computers to couches. She's here to heal our living room blues. Cheers to that.
What if the textile design on a pillow, dress, or handbag was in your control? I was introduced to KarmaKraft ($Inquire, varies by project) a few months ago and finally got around to testing my creative juices. Upload any bit of art, be it a drawing, a photo, or whatever else (I experimented with my fish drawing (pictured)), and choose the way you'd like it to appear on the fabric, that is, how the graphic will repeat. Next choose colors and fabric, and it'll get printed and mailed to you. You can even cover ready made pieces (pillows, handbags, tablecloths, pet beds, surf boards...) with your original artwork. Plus, you can share whatever you create with the online crafting community (check out those cool couch pillows (pictured)), so the audience is wider than just your living room.
