Special Guest Post by Keyhole Photo: Fisheye, Macro, and Wide Angle Camera Phone Lenses

Hey, hey, hey Outblushers, it's time once again for a word from our resident photo-know-it-all, Meggan Haller. Meggan and her husband Jeff, the owners of Keyhole Photo, serve up gorgeous wedding and documentary photography, and recently won the 2010 Bride's Choice Awards from Want more? Check out their blog, look, for a daily dose of awesome.

At this point, I should probably stop recommending new ways to fancy-up cell phone pictures, as I fear I may be encouraging you budding photographers to eschew the actual skills involved in photography (seeing as how a cell phone isn't really a camera.) But who am I kidding? You know you want it. Here it is. A professional-ish lens for your cell phone ($20-40). Fisheye, macro (that means it focuses really close), wide-angle. Why constrain yourself anymore? Cell phone pictures can be art too!

I have a couple of these. They make for some fun and creative pictures, but want to caution potential buyers about one element. They require that you affix a metal ring around the lens of your camera, in order to magnetically attach the lens. Depending on your phone layout this may block the flash, and eventually leaves a sticky residue as the ring slides. It's not possible to just hold the lens in the right spot while taking the picture.
