Special Guest Post by Doppelganger Wear: My favorite effin' things right now
For those of you with vintage styling with a modern sensibility, today's guest poster should really ring your bell. She's the lovely Emily who we found through her wise and witty blog, but what made us fall head over heels for this woman was her vintage reproductions. What the @%$#%@ is going on? Emily Post would be shocked. This Emily, not THE Post, but in this post, can't help but notice the style zeitgeist these days is cursing. Not for nuthin', but what about the kids? Watch your effin' language. (Actually, my kids, age 7 and 10, are thrilled with this turn of events.)
So, here are some of my (our) favorite things lately, along those lines:
A tee (#1, available soon) from my very sweet, thoughtful, extra-classy friend Lynn. Yes, it says that.
A tee (#2, $32) and a tote (#3, $24) from an amazing, smart, poetic designer. Yes, it says that too.
My always-funny wiseacre neighbor's window display. It always comes out this way.
And wait a friggin' minute, I notice a lot of fauna, and a touch of flora, intersecting this compulsion to curse. So while my excellent friend Jill from Bongenre has been known to hold her own with any salty sailor, this clever little pooch (#5, $inquire) is thoroughly G-rated. If you were thinking of getting a pet any time soon, best part: no cleaning up the $#*!
