Says Jamie: "I'm hoping you can help me find the perfect Christmas gift for my friend! I always try to get her something fun and unique, but I haven't been inspired yet. She's in med school and spends 14 hours a night at the hospital then comes home and sleeps all day, so I was thinking of maybe getting her something to pamper herself or something to contribute to a good night's sleep or a fresh start when she wakes up. Any suggestions would be a huge help! Thanks so much and happy holidays!"
Hi, Jamie, and how kind you are! It's Marian here, and I'm honored to help you find something for your overworked amiga.
For some pre-bedtime pampering, she can start with a full-body rubdown (yes, really) with one of our cheapie favorites: 1) ULTA's Hand & Body Cream ($9). It's shown here in vanilla, but if there's a brick-and-mortar store near you, you should give the lavender a sniff too. And while she's doing that, she can put on the kettle for some 2) organic chamomile tea ($5) - in pyramid bags, naturally. This 3) Dahlia Mary cotton nightie ($42) is adorable and looks awfully comfy, but it might not be enough on its own in cold weather, so we'd add a cozy 4) Paddi Murphy fleece robe ($50, shown in mint) to keep the chill away. I'll round out the sleepytime part of the collection with this 5) lavender aromatherapy bunny ($30). Since I personally own one of these
because I am a sap because it smells wonderful, I can vouch for its being altogether cuddly and relaxing.
And after sleeping that soundly, of course, she might need some help waking back up, so here's a trio of items that should help with that: 6) genuine Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee beans ($40 per pound), invigorating 7) pink grapefruit glycerin soap ($4), and 8) the greatest hits of the Bangles ($8). Who wouldn't be feeling lively after that?
Your friend is lucky to have someone as thoughtful as you around, Jamie. Write back if you have a chance?
