Hanukkah: Cheap Thrill

Kids may get a kick out of opening eight little gifts over eight days, but here's a little secret.

Adults love that too.

Here are eight little indulgences from the black pit of impulse-buys, Yves Rocher. All together, they'll run you $36.75, which is a bit more than your average Cheap Thrill, but bear in mind that this is for eight items, the shipping is included, and your box will also include a few of the free gifts for which the company is famous. (What those are depends on when you order. We've received mini perfumes and quite a nice weekend tote ourselves.)

Starting with the cosmetics, we have 1) pearly Eyeshadow Péché Mignon, shown in Rose lacté ($5.25 on sale, and it totally does come in a container. We just liked this picture better.) Next up is 2) Cream Balm for lips in Pétales de rose ($7), and then 3) a mini bottle of Luminelle Axe Tendance Nail Polish in Precious Grey ($3).

Come bath time, there's 4) a travel-size Pur Désir De Pivoine Shower Gel ($2), which we can vouch for as a pretty peony scent, and 5) a bar of Wild Blackberry Soap ($4).

Body products? Why yes! Add a 6) travel-size Organic Oats Body Lotion ($2.50) and 7) an adorable miniature of our hands-down favorite YR fragrance, the rose gourmand Rose Absolute ($5).

And don't forget 8) the bear ($8).

(And hey - if it turns out that you like one of these things a bit too much to give it away, you can just swap in the random freebie. Your pal will never know.)

They say the thought's what counts, but we've all gotten a package of underwear from some well-meaning-but-thrifty relative as a gift. Ugh. Our Cheap Thrill gifts promise all of the fun of a spend-y present, without the wallet draining price.... Each Cheap Thrill gift will ring up under $25, including shipping.
