Doubtblush: Elie Tahari Alexis Blouse
You may have noticed that we're hardly perpetual rays of sunshine around here, but even so, we seem to spend a lot of our time enthusing about one gewgaw or another. Doubtblush exists to make it clear that we do not, in fact, like everything.
Sometimes we look at our Doubtblush items and wonder what went into creating them. In the case of the "Alexis" blouse from Elie Tahari ($368), we don't have to ask. Three different shirts went into it, that's what. It's white! It's black! It's polka-dotted! It has sleeves, but it doesn't! (Someone cue up the heffalumps and woozles song back there.) No matter how long we stare, our minds refuse to parse it into one garment.
