A recent New York Times article on the cost of swimsuits practically begged us to go out and purchase a J.Crew swimsuit. Essentially they looked at the high-end and the low-end and determined that those just in the middle were pretty perfect and durable, calling out J.Crew by name as a reliable producer of long lasting swimsuits. We fell in love with the Retro Swimsuit ($115) well before this article came out. Flirty modesty is pretty irresistible. But validation from the Times makes the purchase downright unavoidable. Let's just hope the next article isn't extolling the virtues of the $1000 Helmut Lang ripped t-shirt.
Editor's Note: Ooops! Apparently a lot of people were reading this Times article because the Retro Swimsuit has sold out. Hopefully it'll be back in stock soon. We love this Tulle Underwire Tank ($125) as well if you just have sink your teeth into a swimsuit immediately!
