We are 100% on board with this season's obsession with vintage inspired bathing suits. Itty bitty suits are quite dated, hardly ever look good and are impossible to find in a size that doesn't make you look 15 pounds heavier. Retro style is all about class, modesty and balancing skin exposure with the right amount of sex appeal. We love, love, love this Natalie One-Piece from Anthropologie but for $150, it is way too pricey for bathing suit budget. We mean, it's just a bathing suit. So we set out to find some more reasonably priced swimwear ensembles with the same shape and hopefully the same color/pattern.
Luck be the lady tonight, we found some really similar options. ModCloth wins awards with this [1] Beach Blanket Bingo One Piece in Black for $90. Their whole swimwear department is vintage inspired this year so bonus points are awarded to ModCloth. If you want to skip the polka dots, try on the [2] Jantzen Vamp One Piece for even less at $60. This one features a removable strap for a more versatile and tan line-free approach to your summer. Lastly, this [3] Bandeau Shirred One Piece is as low as we can go for $35 at the limbo. Not too shabby for a bathing suit that looks a lot like the original $150 version.
And, as always, if you've got something you love that's out of your reach, email us and we'll find you some more budget-friendly lookalikes for a future Aspire/Acquire feature!
