Fall 2010 Trends on a Budget: Sweaters

We all drool over the super-expensive clothes, shoes, and accessories featured every month in fashion magazines, but how many of us can actually afford that $800 jacket, or those $300 jeans? Yeah, we thought as much. So, we're bringing you $100-or-less versions of some of this fall's hottest styles! Today's pick: Sweaters.

Alura left a comment on our Fall 2010 Trends on a Budget: Ladylike post, saying, "I don't know where you're living, but here with temperatures dropping pretty quickly, some sweaters and fall jackets would be nice!" Alura, we were just getting to that, no worries! (Keep an eye out for a post on coats!) Our favorite part of fall, even more so than our beloved limited-edition cinnamon/pumpkin/cranberry bath & body products and chai spice lattes? Sweaters. Embellished, chunky, plain, knit, cabled... We love 'em all! Here are 9 of our favorites, all $100 or less.

1 - Acrobat Cotton Hi-Low V-Neck Sweater ($55, in 3 colors)

2 - Nightfall Cardigan ($80)

3 - dELiA*s Audrey Sweater ($45)

4 - Old Navy Long Tie-Belt Wrap Cardigan ($50, in 6 colors/prints)

5 - Eddie Bauer Heritage Cable Cardigan ($60-65, in 8 colors)

6 - Tinley Road Chunky Rib Cardigan ($59, in 3 colors)

7 - Guinivere Delicate Drafts Cardigan ($98, in 3 colors)

I really like the idea of a Trends on a Budget feature, but the cheapest one was $45. That is not a budget to me. I try not to buy jeans that cost more than that. I'd love to see a post that featured items under $50.

I'd love to see this featured with plus sized sweaters!!! It seems like a lot of stores think that women who wear plus sizes have ugly taste!!!
