There's a reason we don't buy cheap flats anymore - despite our most primal urges - and it's because we are fed up dealing with the painful blisters that occur when the back of the cardboard-like shoes dig into our heels. As you can see, the Splendid Cannes Flats ($50) are lined with a soft leather piping that is nice and smooth against the foot. The rest of the shoe, made out of a striped canvas material, ain't too shabby either.
