Personal Shopper: Stylish winter boots for Sharla

Sharla O. wrote, "Hi there! I think you guys do such a great job with this blog! I love the new personal shopper posts. I have a request of my own. I am currently pregnant and I have 2 young children. I desperately need some winter shoes or boots that will keep my feet warm and be stylish but that aren't impractical for running after kids. A small heel is okay but I really prefer flat (I mean not normally which is why I am this situation! All my shoes are heels or sandals) I would love to see your suggestions! I am not a tennis shoe girl at all. Thanks for your consideration and let me know if you find some shoes you think would work for me!! Sharla"

Congrats on the 3rd bundle of joy, Sharla! We've rounded up nine pairs of fun, funky boots. Some of them are leather or suede, so if you pick one of those, don't forget the leather waterproofing spray. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for the help! I'm loving the choices. Now to narrow it down... I truly appreciate it!!

If I may? I have two recommendations. I am an expert on boots for winter since I live in the land of winter (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada).

First for extreme cold, check out Sorels line for women . They've been reimagining their shoes, and while still not the most beautiful they can be cute and they're rated for temperatures that go into the -40's (either Celsius or Fahrenheit...once you hit that cold in either they're the same).

For something more fashionable (and flexible around the ankles/calves) I'd go with:

The Sorels will be Sharla's feet toasty warm no matter the temperature, and as I said about the other ones: super hot, eye catching and more beneficial for circulation (but in a sneaky, not so 'cankly' way...something I find rubber boots famous for doing).

Bogs are underrated - they're shockingly good in cold weather. (I am in Alaska.)

I also say Bogs! I have had mine for 2 years, they are awesome in snow/cold and I get tons of compliments on them!
