Hello, class. Today's lesson is, "Why Haute Designers Can Get Away with Charging Bazillions for Their Looks." Take this Maison Martin Margiela Gold Ankle Boot ($498), for example. Sure, there are a bevy of cute low-cut sparkly boots on the market at the moment, but Margiela's perfectly chunky heel and refined balance between gold glitter and dusky peach leather blow cheaper options like this one out of the water. Does that mean we'll shell out five hundred bucks for them? No. But we'll dream.

I trust and heart you guys, but this is straight up Doubtblush for me. It just seems like they didn't even care where they slapped the ModPodge and cheap glitter. And if this is hip, then I can dump some ModPodge on a nice pair of boots for you for $100 and call it a steal.

I wanted to say that this looked like something Miss Piggy might wear, but I think that would be an insult to her personal style. Incredibly slap-dash glitter applied to an unflattering shape for five hundred dollars? Yeouch.

Really? You would dream about these? I think that's called a "nightmare."
