Corleone Platform
There was always a little something off-center about the Corleones - all those veiled threats, the whole horse-head-for-a-pillow thing. That's why we think this Corleone Platform ($175) was very aptly named. The off-balance shape of the heel reminds us of one of those modern art sculptures we're sure should fall over in the next stiff breeze, yet through a miracle of design it keeps itself solidly upright. Except in this case, "itself" is actually us. We'll try to trust the shoe, but maybe skip that extra cocktail.
