Wedding Dressed: Garden
Here comes the bride/groom/life partner/spouse, all dressed in white/black/fuchsia/sustainably harvested bamboo silk... Weddings these days are anything but traditional, but as a guest, it's best to play it safe when you're getting dressed to head to the ceremony. Besides the unbreakable "Thou Shalt NOT Outshine the Bride," commandment, what are the rules of wedding dressing? We're here to help. Over the next several weeks, we'll be giving you guidelines of appropriate attire for different kinds of ceremonies & receptions, along with reasonably priced dresses, shoes, and accessory ideas. Garden weddings are usually day affairs and bring to mind images of delicately climbing vines, Earl Grey in china cups, and finger sandwiches. The goal here would be to look lovely rather than ravishing, but you need something more formal than a cute sundress. Accessory bonus - hats & white gloves are totally welcome at such charming fêtes. We've tried to keep the price point under $250, and as always No. 10 is our tribute the the perpetual conundrum of "Chanel taste, Old Navy budget."
Bottom line: Light, floaty knee-length or tea-length dresses in silk, satin, and chiffon. How very proper, dahlink.

I'm a HUGE fan.. but the #6 dress(Adrianna Papell Sleeveless V-Neck Dress ($178)...is HORRIBLE! I Have seen it on another Outblush post (Sometime in November) and I bought it. And I was literally in tears. I took it back to my local Nordstroms..and luckily they solved what would have been a Christmas party diasaster!..Buyers beware.
