The opening ceremonies for the Vancouver Winter Olympics are this Friday, and we can't wait to watch all the pomp and circumstance - and, of course, ogle the cute male athletes from around the world! With all the talk of extreme feats of athleticism and physical prowess, it got us motivated to start working out more. But, y'all know we aren't going to hit the slopes or treadmill in baggy, saggy old sweats: we gots to do it in style! Therefore, here are our picks for stylish, functional workout wear to help you be your Olympic best. Of course, if you've got a miracle piece of active wear you can't live without, let us know in the comments!
To keep warm while you're working out in winter weather, an Eddie Bauer Hangfire Hoodie ($104) has 2-way stretch fabric on the arms and a textured fleece hybrid on the body, plus a fun off-center zippered half-face hood and lots of pockets for keys & an energy bar.
Hit the slopes in Lululemon Mountain Pants ($168), stylish enough for street wear but made from water- and wind-resistant shell fabric with a fleece lining and inner hem gaitor & boot hook to keep snow out of your shoes.
Keeping the girls in check is a must, so for smaller busts, the CW-X Sport Support Bra ($45) is a good choice. More amply endowed? A D-cup Under Armour Stability Bra ($40) is designed for high-impact workouts.
Proper footwear can help you reach for that last half-mile or manage the last set of jumping jacks, so pick up a pair of New Balance Women's WR769 NBx Stability Running Shoes ($54-102). They're comfortable, lightweight, and offer Abzorb shock absorption padding, plus a fully tractioned sole.
