Doubtblush: Spider Stadium Bowl
You may have noticed that we're hardly perpetual rays of sunshine around here, but even so, we seem to spend a lot of our time enthusing about one gewgaw or another. Doubtblush exists to make it clear that we do not, in fact, like everything.
We can barely write this without getting the creepy crawlies all over! The Spider Stadium Bowl ($158) is the illustrative work of Laura Zindel, who appears to have a fascination with grotty insects that we'd prefer to not have to think about while we're eating...or any other time, for that matter. This bowl in particular depicts a fairly detailed illustration of a big 'ol spider whose giant, hairy legs are sprawled across the center and who is made even more sinister by a wreath of dead branches. We hope to be spared from ever coming face to face with one of these!
