Culture Club: Totem Cups

Whoa, here's a great gift for someone who has it all... Full of character, actually multiple characters, the Totem Cups ($59, also available in gold and silver) build a tower of ceramic delights. We'd probably name each one and develop imaginary personality clashes. Yes, even our cabinet is filled with drama.

Hopefully, gals know that Totem poles are monumental tree sculptures by Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. Some other fun facts: The word "totem" is derived from the term odoodem, meaning "his kinship group" in the language of the Ojibwe, and animal depictions are telling of family characteristics. Check out Totem Poles: An Exploration for more in depth info.
