The Flora Platter by Justin Rothshank combines digital and hand drawn images in a lovely serving piece. Overlapping decorative motifs and botanical studies make this way more interesting than a regular garden party theme. Tea sandwiches would look great on this curious dish.
This story is too cute. Justin Rothshank is an emerging artist that doesn't stand alone. He works side by side with his illustrator wife, Brooke, and both artists work to use art as a catalyst for social change. After meeting in art school, going the distance to apprentice and carry residencies, they've returned to Goshen, Indiana, where they have a studio and have started a family. They have an entire collaborative show about their homecoming there, on view now; their Goshen College exhibition is open until September 11.
