Sleek, stylish, and sophisticated, we're into the wrapping linear grid on the Mondrian Box ($85). A velvet lined interior gives a dash of hidden luxury that we'll gladly indulge in.The color blocking is totally on trend. Funny thing about it... it's so last century.
Speaking of stylish, Piet Mondrian made a name for himself with his vanguard art movement, De Stijl, which literally means "the style." The Dutch born phenomenon also goes by its philosophical name, Neo-Plasticism, which describes the extreme linear "new plastic art" the group was known for. De Stijl artists wanted to use pure abstraction in primary colors to reach an aesthetic and spiritual Utopian harmony. It's a tall order, but is you click around the Piet Mondrian official website, maybe you'll see what we mean.
