Discovered by Sir Arthur Evans in the early 20th century, members of this peaceful and gender equal mercantile society distinguished themselves as expert seafarers, painters, metal-smiths, linguistic innovators, and architects of elaborate palace cities. The Heraklion Archealogical Museum houses the largest collection of Minoan artifacts, with striking examples of early filigree goldsmith work, with drops similar to our featured earrings.
