Culture Club: Carved Wood Coffee Table
The Carved Wood Coffee Table ($299) is artisanal by way of Jaipur, India. This gorgeous piece is hand carved from solid mango wood and decorated with rosettes. This table does us a solid in style.
Although this was made in India, it takes its inspiration from ceremonial stools used by Bamileke royalty in the African country of Cameroon. In Bamileke art, leopards and elephants are sacred animals, and kwifo masks worn by the king's disciplinary council are the most collected.
