We think it's a shame that Francesca Lia Block's Witch Baby has gone out of print as a stand-alone title, even if it is included in Dangerous Angels. This weird, lovely, poetic book is most simply the story of a little girl who doesn't know how she fits into her own family, but despite its extreme brevity, it covers a lot of ground. And since used copies are available for no more than eighteen cents at Amazon, you've got no excuse not to read it.

thank you so much for repping FLB on your blog. i was just browsing through the "cheap thrills" section of outblush and my heart skipped a beat when i saw this entry. FLB's poetic way with words has been making my head swim in the most delicious way since high school (and i'm 25 now, so it's been awhile :).
absolutely adore her novels and always will. in fact, i loved "witch baby" so much that i named my car after her (i've been driving the same 1995 toyota corolla since high school. gotta love that.)

Oh, Witch Baby is a fantastic name for a car. Props to you. Which of her other books are your favorites?
