Our skin changes color as often as a chameleon's. Part of it has to do with the fact that we're as pale as chalk and it takes about forty-five seconds of sun exposure for us to burn. Part of it has to do with the fact that carrots turn us into oompa loompas just as quickly. So whether we are bolting to our car from the office or trying to eat healthy, we need at least four different shades of makeup to keep up, some of which are pressed and some of which are powders. The La Mer The Powder Brush ($70) covers all the bases, serving as a tool for both types of makeup. Tucked into itself, it's the perfect buffing brush. And at full extension, it works best with finishing powders, depositing a fine layer of coverage. Now instead of riffling through our makeup kit every time the sun comes up or we eat a salad, we can just pull out one brush and call it good.
