Emjoi Micro-Pedi
Last weekend, we hit up our fave nail salon for a relaxing pedicure (lately, we're into OPI's Houston, We Have A Purple). The technician took one look at our feet and started tsk-ing, then insisted, loudly, that we needed the "Extra Special Spa Pedicure" instead of the Classic Pedicure...Which translated into us spending an extra $20 to have her attack our soles with various industrial-strength files & pumices, and the rest of the nail techs tittering at us the whole time. We left with smooth heels, but bruised pride.
There's gotta be a better way, and we're thinking the Emjoi Micro-Pedi ($40) is it. The spinning micro-file rollers buff away callouses at high speed without us having to scrub and scrape, or put ourselves in the too-rough hands of that nail tech again. Fellow beauty bloggers say it works a treat, and for the price of a regular mani-pedi, we're willing to give it a shot. Anyone tried this buzzing wonder? Tell us in the comments!
