Ever start curling your hair, go to touch it, and get the piss burned out of your fingers? Yeah, us too. Like, all the time. We didn't know our hair could be so hot and not physically fall off. So when we saw that the Amika 19mm Tourmaline Curler ($112) came with a free heat-resistant glove, we took it as a sign that we needed a new curling iron. We like the clip-free model, not just because it saves our hair from that pesky crimp that comes with clamping our curl in place, but because of the tourmaline material. Tourmaline means negative ions, which mean less frizz, which means less need to curl the same strand over and over and over again, which means less heat is needed, which means we are less likely the burn the bejesus out of our fingers when we forget to wear the glove again.
