With all the buzz and new FDA standards for sunblock...excuse us, sunscreen, we're thinking now is a good time to stock up on some of the good stuff. One of our favs, Ole Henriksen Protect The Truth Sunscreen ($35), has a great citrus scent, is natural (that means no harsh chemicals like parabens, sulfates, or GMOs), and goes on smoothly so we're not feeling sticky all day. But remember, if a sunscreen is made from natural ingredients, it wears off quickly, so pack the bottle with you and reapply every 1 to 2 hours. It's a small price to pay for healthy skin and a chemical-free environment!

All natural my butt! Where do these people get off saying that when the stuff contains this:
Active Ingredients: Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 10%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 2.7%, Oxybenzone 5%. Ingredients: Water (Aqua/Eau), Butyloctyl, Salicylate, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Thermus Thermophillus Ferment, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Cell Extract, Algae Extract, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Pullulan, Isomalt, Lecithin, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Silica, Ceteareth-20, Sodium Phytate, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Fragrance (Parfum).
What do you suppose EWG (The Environmental Working Group) has to say about other Ole Henriksen products? With 0 (zero) being the best rating and 10 the worse - Ole gets a 7 - high hazard!
If you don't know EWG sunscreen guide btw - here it is:
