Do you know what it's like to be limited to one cleansing routine throughout your twenties out of fear that your skin will positively ignite in acne the instant you switch to something new? We do. And it's both tedious and obnoxious. We have always wanted to branch out and try new moisturizers and cleansers without suffering the consequence of bad skin. And thanks to Arise Swiss Alpine Cosmetic, we are scared no more. We got a number of their skincare products in the office recently and have customized a new regimen that doesn't involve the same brand of lotion we've been using since we were fourteen. In the shower, we start with the Cleansing Milk ($30). It doesn't suds up or really even appear to be on our skin (we shower with a mirror because we're weird like that). But it does do what it is meant to and that's deep clean. It didn't remove waterproof mascara very well (really, what does though?) but that was solved with a few quick swipes of a washcloth. After getting out of the shower, we let our face air dry, allowing all the 100% naturally derived ingredients to really sink in. Then we spritzed the Soothing Toner ($30) directly onto our face for a rosemary facial. It tightens the skin without over-drying. And the final step, the real pièce de résistance, is the EDELWHITE Complex-Whitening Night Cream ($50). This is where we were most hesitant, knowing that our skin generally breaks out 2.4 seconds after applying a non-regimented moisturizer. Honestly, truly and totally not exaggerating, this stuff changed our lives. Our skin has never, ever looked better. It is taut and vibrant. You could probably bounce a penny off of our cheek. As for acne? None. Not even in the famous chinstrap of doom region. In fact, our face has cleared up. Maybe it is the boost in collagen production or perhaps the cell renewal taking place that has our face waking up roses every morning, but we are 100% hooked on this product and how it makes us feel inside and out.
Full disclosure: we received a free sample of this product.
