Okay, so we're a little behind when it comes to our nail color collections. This may be because we purchase a buttload of polish every time we pass the drugstore or browse Sephora and then dig it out unused weeks later to actually try it out. But no matter the season, we are pretty smitten with our bottles of Orly Nail Polish Sweet Spring Collection in Gumdrop ($6). It's got a sweet summery blue color--like pale misty days and robin's eggs. We may be doing both or fingers and toes in gumdrop tonight!

I actually own this polish, and was disappointed. It's such a pretty summer hue, but it goes on thick and streaky, and chipped pretty quickly. I ended up buying Essie's Turquoise and Caicos instead and was much happier with how well it went on and how long it lasted.

Ugh, bummer! At least Orly isn't too expensive of a brand, so it wasn't too much of a waste. Thanks for the dupe recommendation, Simone!

Other dupes are Essie Mint Candy Apple (lighter hue) and China Glaze For Audrey (deeper hue).
