Readers, we have a challenge for you.
You may or may not have already heard about the Magnetic Nail polish ($16) available from nails inc. - if not, the first thing we have to say is that tragically it does not in fact make your fingers magnetic. So your cyborg act won't be completely perfect for Halloween. Instead, the polish contains suspended iron powder which will form pretty designs if you hold a patterned magnet (like the one in the bottle's lid) over each nail after painting it.
Your challenge is this: buy this, try it out, and instead of doing stripes or starbursts like the bottle magnet will help you with, HACK YOUR MANICURE. Fridge magnets. The magnetic field around one of your household appliances. The world awaits. Send pictures.

I've been meaning to this. Also, I'm staring at a large pile of bucky balls right now. I'm one of few female engineers in the office and when this stuff first came out, I actually got the guys interested and they were planning all sorts of hacky ideas.

This is dangerously close to being ghetto fabulous...probably too expensive to be completely ghetto, but stil. Dangerously close.
