Y'all know we can't resist a challenge, right? We received a tweet from OB fan @lauraclontz asking us to find a chapstick with some tint, saying, "Lipsticks are too harsh, and I'm not a fan of glosses." Well. We're lip balm addicts, and we've rounded up a few of our faves, old and new, for you to try...
BeneTint Lip Balm ($20) - A play on the original BeneTint lip & cheek stain, this translucent rosy-colored balm has a light rose petal fragrance, SPF 15, and Vitamin E. It offers a sheer, lightly shiny finish and guaranteed softness.
Fresh Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15 ($15) - We've told you people 'bout this before. It's got a buildable sheer red-pink tint, SPF 15, and a boost o' hydration... Plus, it smells totally yummy.
Guerlain Terracotta Baume Au Coeur High-Shine Soothing Lip Balm ($30) - A little pricey and shiny, maybe, but the ingredients list won us over: wild mango butter and marula oil for moisturization, and luffa oil to restore lipidic balance. The cap even has a mirror for on-the-go-touchups. Comes in 3 light shades.
Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Exfoliating Lip Salvation ($15) - Chockablock full of antioxidant- & mineral-rich red tea, this stuff has antiviral & antibacterial properties in addition to exfoliants and soothing emollients. You get a light shine and a hint of pink tint.
Smith's Rosebud Perfume Co. Three Layers of Lavish Lip Balm ($16 for 3pc set) - This set of three Rosebud Perfume Co. Salves includes Strawberry, a pale pink, Minted Rose, a light berry, and the original Rosebud Salve, a blush hue. All three contain essential oils and a little will go a loooong way.
Tarte Slide-Tin Lip Balm ($12) - SPF 15 and sunflower seed oil help protect & soften lips, and the three sheer tints are derived from natural mineral pigments. Plus, the old school slide-top tin is super convenient!
