Whether you're prepping for your best friend's wedding, your birthday, or your engagement photos (congratulations!), looking good while being photographed is important. From hair to lips to nails, everything counts. Thankfully, Walgreens has tons of great options to help us look great while being photographed.
Show off Those Locks
We tend to love big hair, and when we're attending a special event, we like to get beautiful curls with the help of a curling iron, like the CHI Air Texture Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron ($59.99) from Walgreens. Even when we put our hair up, we like to have some curls in the back of our ponytail, or in the front with our side swept bangs. Whether you've got short or long hair, keep your hair in place with the help of this L'Oreal Studio Light Headed Melting Gel Non-Hardening Hair Gel ($4.99).
Tweeze Your Eyebrows
Don't get us wrong; we love thick, full eyebrows. But, we do like to shape our eyebrows so that they show off our eyes. Keep your eyebrows looking fabulous with this Revlon Slant Tip Ultimate Tweezer Silver ($9.99); the slant tip is just sharp enough to pluck those unwanted hairs, but not so sharp that it'll trim the hair before it pulls it from the root - a perfect choice!
Put Some Color on Those Eyelids
We're thankful for this Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plus Eye Shadow Quad ($9.99) because it allows us to create both a natural look or a smokey eye look. What's more? This particular eye shadow quad has 8 different combinations to choose from, so you're sure to pick a set that will bring out your eyes.
Give your upper eyelids an extra touch of sexiness with this L'Oreal Telescopic Precise Liquid Eyeliner Carbon Black ($9.99). We adore the way Adele and Lauren Conrad apply thick eyeliner on their upper eyelids, but even a little liquid liner goes a long way - and will help make your eyes pop in pictures.
Dark, Full Eyelashes
We like the look of fake lashes (sometimes), but we don't like the feel of them (always). Instead, we trust Maybelline Turbo Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara Very Black ($7.99) to give us thick, long lashes.
If you're going for a smokey look, and you've opted to use dark eye shadow colors, we recommend using a nude lip color, such as this Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer Stick ($4.99). If you've chosen to go with neutral eye shadow colors, we suggest wearing this red L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour ($9.49). Whichever lip color you choose, be sure to use this Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm ($2.99) beforehand so that your lips will be soft and smooth.
Bright White Smile
A beautiful smile will ensure that you and your photos look amazing. Get ready for your event by using Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Whitestrips ($44.99). When the big day comes, you'll be confident when you flash your million dollar smile.
A great inspiration to us, in terms of gorgeous skin, is Revlon spokeswoman Jessica Biel; her skin is radiant, and even when she's wearing makeup, the coverage is light, leaving her skin looking absolutely beautiful. So, when it comes to face makeup, less is more. Go for a natural look with Revlon ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup ($13.99). This mineral makeup comes in lots of shades so you'll be able to pick the color that matches your skin the best. Be sure to use a moisturizer such as Cetaphil Moisturizing Skin Lotion ($9.99) to make sure that your skin looks flawless in photos (and in real life).
Freshly Painted Nails
Last but not least, make sure your nails are well-taken care of (no chipped nails for photos). We tend to wear red nail polish, such as this bright, beautiful Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel Red Carpet ($7.99) but we've been known to lighten things up with Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel Pale Cashmere ($7.99). Thankfully, there are tons of colors to choose from, so pick your favorite and paint those nails!
Be sure to get enough sleep before the big day (and every day). There's just no substitute for rest. When you're well-rested, your eyes look bright, your skin will glow, and you'll feel amazing. For all other moisturizer and make-up needs, let Walgreens help.
