We've always been drugstore shampoo and conditioner girls. We were major skeptics. We didn't believe that this certain bottle of much pricier shampoo would yield different results from that $2 bottle of shampoo. Girls, we were wrong. So, so wrong. We recently had the opportunity to try out some hair care products from the Hairkop Essence line that led to this huge shift in thinking. The Obliphica Treatment Hair Shampoo ($33) did good things by itself. The obliphica (sea buckthorn) part of the equation is what really made a difference, especially on our scalp. We don't have active dandruff, per say, but our scalp is normally dry. Not anymore. But the real gem of the Hairkop company is their Obliphica Intensive Hair Mask ($35). We generally have oily hair twenty-four hours after taking a shower, but when we allowed our locks to air dry after a single use of this stuff, it was as if a magic genie had taken up residence and granted every single strand the best day of its life. For three straight days. We went three whole days without washing our hair just to see how long it would actually hold up (don't judge, it was scientific). And it was a gross, stomach-flu-filled three days and yet our hair maintained bounce, softness, and shine, and never once felt oily. We have forever been converted into high-end shampoo girls and will gladly never look back.
