Outblush is reviewing another men's cologne? Well. Yeah! Paco Rabanne's new 1 Million ($53 for the small bottle, $70 for the big one) runs with the mint trend, blending the note with warmer ingredients like amber and cinnamon to make something distinctive and almost candied. (This is by no means one of those fragrances that melts discreetly into one's skin: it's unashamed and smells like its sweet self for hours and hours.) The leathery elements suffice to make it acceptable for those with nervous Y chromosomes, but this is definitely a fragrance that can be worn by either gender. If you want to replace the dusty old bottle of aftershave your guy got from the drugstore ten years ago, you don't need to stick with yet another citrus, or yet another aquatic, or yet another evergreen. 1 Million has its own personality.
(Yes, the packaging is something else again. We can only think that whoever created it was subliminally influenced by a brief burst of disco down the hall.)
