Doubtblush: Il Profumo Dog Perfume
Yes, dogs can be smelly. No arguments there. And we really, really like perfume, which you probably already know. But somehow Dog from Il Profumo ($18 for the smallest size) doesn't have us reaching for our credit cards. It's not a perfume to make one smell like a dog, because that would be silly. It's a perfume for your dog, because . . . okay, it's really silly. To our pets' sensitive noses, the scents we spray on ourselves are bad enough. (We may think that our prized retro florals are tasteful, but to a dog? Loud, artificial, and tacky, darling, tacky.) We did get a giggle from the product blurb, though, since apparently the fragrance gives "a freshness feeling to dog". And what's more, they've also got one called Horse.
