Boadicea the Victorious Delicate Eau de Parfum
Tired of sweet gourmand scents? Looking for something a little more adult, but not old-ladyish? Here you go. The Boadicea the Victorious line of perfumes got some serious publicity not long ago when Michelle Obama bought three of them in London. One of the trio was Delicate, a beautiful, layered green floral ($265). The name struck us as a bit twee, to be honest, but we needn't have worried. Dominant galbanum (there's that green) is blended with hyacinth, bluebell, lily, and a very slight, well-behaved note of cinnamon to make something fresh but perfectly dignified. (A smaller bottle will run you $175, but at a significantly higher price per ounce.)
