Although the name, 'A Scent by Issey Miyake' Eau de Parfum Florale ($65-90) is a tad odd (and oversimplified... don't perfumers usually make up divinely outrageous names to get us to buy them?), the scent is a breath of fresh, flowery air. Composed almost entirely of floral notes of rose, hyacinth, and jasmine, it's unabashedly girly. Sometimes, simple is good. (PS - This is a spinoff scent of the original, woodsy A Scent by Issey Miyake, which smells totally different, but equally amazing.)

The name is a play on "ascent," if you didn't quite catch that. I know you ladies try hard...
