If the thought of bathing yourself with spices makes you worry that there's a wicked giant waiting for you with a boiling cauldron, relax. Far from doing any fee-fi-fo-fumming ourselves, we're currently enjoying (in a general sense, since we know the dangers of operating electric things in the tub) Pattern's Sage Body Wash ($20). Far from smelling too foody or too new age, it's a brisk, enjoyable scent that's definitely unisex. (Those of you who live with males who have complained about smelling like lilacs after ignoring the protective coloring of your purple shower gel should appreciate this.) The formula promises to remove sweat and dirt without stripping the skin's oils away like soaps can. And if you really love it, there's a body lotion to match.
P.S. Be sure to check out some of Pattern's other scents pictured above: Black Pepper, Nutmeg, Citrus, Eucalyptus, and Cucumber.
