When we saw Dove deodorant commercials in the past, we always figured those armpits must have been Photoshopped. Our armpits were darker in comparison, as if shaving or using non-Dove deodorant had somehow changed the tone of our underarm skin. Turns out, that was actually the case. Within a week of switching to Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew Deodorant ($5), our armpits went from dark, splotchy problem areas to smooth, moisturized problem-free zones. The two ingrown hairs that had been there so long we nicknamed them Bert and Ernie disappeared without a trace. The calendula and sunflower seed extract actually do what Dove said they would do, and that is to speed up skin's renewal rate, evening out skin tone. We aren't totally in love with this deodorant's scent, but we hate all deodorant smells, so that's no fault of Dove's. Considering how cheap and easy it is to get one's hands on this stuff and this stuff on one's armpits, we'll be using it for the foreseeable future.
