Katie says that she's " serious need of some help. I'm in the market for a new moisturizer - basically I have combination skin and have been dealing with acne for a while. A Dior cream was working really well for me but they're discontinuing it! I'm starting on Accutane this month so I need to find a new moisturizer - one that won't clog my pores or make me break out because I'll be dealing with acne for a couple more months. But since the Accutane is going to totally dry me out, I need to find a cream that is really moisturizing and nourishing. I will pay any price - to me, good skin is priceless! - so I don't really need to worry about budget. If you could help me out that would be so awesome! I'm sure a lot of other readers also deal with this problem - we all need the best of both worlds, moisturizing but won't make us break out!" Katie, we've so been there. Acne sucks, but so does having acne AND dry skin at the same time - it always feels like you can't win! Here are a few of our favorites: some we've discussed on site before, others are newer. Good luck! 1 - Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief ($50) - We've yet to find a Clinique product that made us break out! This oil-free formula contains active aloe and "advanced hydration technology" to last all day. 2 - Boscia Vital Daily Moisture SPF 15 ($36) - Made from natural ingredients, it's non-greasy and lightweight and ideal for sensitive, reddened skin. Plus, you get a lil' SPF! 3 - Caudalie Moisturizing Concentrate ($44) - This is serious stuff; made from 100% plant-based, preservative-free ingredients, it contains lots of essential oils (but it won't leave skin oily) to moisturize & make skin look radiant. 4- Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea ($38) - Your skin, after being ravaged by Accutane, will need some serious protection, and this stuff delivers with a host of natural ingredients like murumuru butter, ferment of sugarcane, and white tea. 5 - H2O Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment ($34) - Designed for combination skin, it contains marine extracts of wakame, sea lettuce, and sea fennel to protect and nourish skin.
